One Tree Skate Deck

A friend of mine is involved in the Montana Skate Park Auction in Missoula each year.  For my entry, I drilled holes to weave copper wire in the shape of the tree.  The skate deck was sold at Auction.  Check out the other great work for a great cause!

Giving Tree Skis

Another pair of skis that were plain black and really needed some color.  They have been sold.

One Tree Skateboards

I've had 3 knee surgeries and I needed a way to run my dog so I decided to make a longboard for him to tow me around town.  I have to say that it is really easy.  I bought the trucks and wheels used from the local skate shop for $10 and the plywood was scrap.  These worked great but they did flex a lot.  I thought the grain looked like contour lines from a topo map so I went with it.  They have since been sold.

One Tree Beater Board

I visited the local surf shop to see if they had any beater boards to practice my ding repair skills.  He told me to buy one for $40 or all seven for $40...so I took all seven.  This was the only one that showed any promise.  Loved the 80's look and outline but it needed A LOT of love. Keep in mind this was before the Dane Reynolds Dumpster Diver fad so I decided to just cut out a fish tail and repaint it because it was already pretty watertight.  I surfed it once and it was missing the 3rd fin.   I really wish I had this board back to do over again.  I should not have chopped the tail and just added the center fin.  It has since been sold.

One Tree Longboard

This was one of my first boards from 1998 or so.  It was well worn and needed an update.  The deck had a huge delam and the bottom had plenty of dings.  I stripped the deck and reglassed it.  I filled the bottom dings and added another layer of 4oz glass.  Board was sold.  I actually drove by it in Half Moon Bay the other day about 3 years after it was sold!
